Gifted and Talented Education (GATE)

Students at Poplar Elementary School are given the opportunity to assess for the GATE program in 3rd grade. Parents may choose to opt-out if they do not want their student assessed. Students who qualify for the GATE program are invited to attend GATE meetings/classes on Monday's after school. These meetings/classes are meant to provide additional enrichment and learning opportunities for theses students. Each week students are provided a different learning opportunity which can include but are not limited to: STEM, Coding, Art, Creative Thinking, and many more.
